TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno challenged the Marine and Fisheries Minister Susi to participate in Tidung Island Festival in Thousand Islands, Jakarta. Sandiaga expressed his joy to collaborate with Minister Susi in the festival.

“I’ve just challenged Bu Susi, as this festival is part of KKP (Marine and Fisheries Ministry) programs, and we're very synergic. We'll clean up Tidung Island right away, as to make sure that the festival will attract tourists,” said Sandiaga at Tidung Island, Tuesday, February 27.

The Tidung Island Festival, Sandiaga claimed, is part of his punishments after losing to Minister Susi at Sunter Lake Festival on Sunday, February 25, to clean up all lakes and reservoirs in Jakarta.

Sandiaga said the concept for the festival is being finalized. “The regent will launch it officially in April. There will be a cultural event, tourism, as well as sports,” he added.

In the festival, the sports event will not only swimming match, but also biathlon. “For the first time ever, we’ll hold biathlon, swimming for 1km then running for 10km,” said Sandiaga.

“I got a good news from Bu Susi, I’m invited to Wakatobi. This is our spirit to clean all reservoirs in Jakarta,” Sandiaga stated.
