TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi once again mentioned the use of social media during his speech the Indonesia Business and Development Expo 2017, today on September 20.
President Jokowi revealed that he always has the urge to upload unique things about his life on social media. However, he was concerned that the public might view him as a narcisist.
“Being a president has disadvantages, and that’s the only thing I dislike,” said the seventh Indonesian President.
President Jokowi also mentioned about the time the popular Indonesian singer Raisa visited the State Palace, which became viral.
“I once invited [Raisa] to the Presidential Palace. She was standing by my side, and she was photographed glancing at me. That alone made it a trending topic throughout social media,” said Jokowi on Wednesday, September 20.
The President said that he could not imagine the reaction would be if it was him that was photographed glancing at Raisa. “But [that should never happen]. It would be troublesome,” he said, which was followed by laughter from the audience.
