TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A seafood festival event called Beach Food Euphoria will be held in Kedonganan Beach, Bali, on July 21-22. The event was initiated by Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Nusa Dua, Bali.
STP Bali Chairman, Dewa Gede Ngurah Byomantara, said the target of the event is to awaken the creativity and style of seafood. “Creation for a variation in products, tours, and expertise,” he said during a media meeting in Kedonganan Village on Wednesday, July 19.
According to Byomantara, an activity that STP students were involved in was to explore the tourism potential of Kedonganan Village. As many as 24 cafes from Kedonganan Village will participate in this event. The cooks will not only be expected to grill food.

“They (the cooks) will not only be doing their daily routines of marinating and grilling fish but also cooking stir fry, lawar and making dishes looking presentable,” said Chairman of Indonesia Chef Association Bali, I Gede Hendra Mahendra.
He explained that seven people from ICA Bali will be placed on the judging panel. “About the judging method,” said Hendra, “the biggest factor is the taste of the dish (40%), cleanliness is worth 30%, the presentation is worth 20%, and use of time or punctuality is worth 10%.
Kedonganan Food Festival brings together the concept of beach and entertainment collaboration. “We will showcase some dance, band, and bartender performances,” said Project Manager of Kedonganan Food, Raja Andeta Sakti.
