TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Singgih Widyastono, founder of Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama supporters group Teman Ahok (Friends of Ahok), dubbed former volunteers exposing a manipulation of identity cards collection as a broken-hearted group.
"They are broken-hearted and money-oriented people, Singih said at Teman Ahok headquarter in Pejaten, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
Singgih confirmed that Paulus Romindo, Richard Sukarno, Khusnul Nurul, Dodi Hendaryadi and Dela Novianti are former Teman Ahok's volunteers. However, Singgih said that three of them were fired for allegedly manipulating copies of identity cards, while two others were sacked after releasing a statement to the press.
Singgih revealed that Teman Ahok is ready to help owners of ID cards whose data were forged by the group.
"We're ready to receive complaints from owners of ID cards, who have been harmed by the issue," Singgih added.
In addition, Singgih alleged that the press conference conducted by the group was designed by a mass organization and politicians at the House of Representatives. However, Singgih refused to reveal the politicians concerned.
"Clearly, the mass organization is affiliated with a political party," Singgih said.
Earlier, former Teman Ahok volunteer Paulus Romindo exposed an unreported budget of Rp 12.6 billion (US$940,000) used by Teman Ahok to procure cellphones, newspaper publishing and operational fund for volunteers.
