TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Franky Sibarani announced that in 2016, the board targeted investment realization outside Java worth Rp302.6 trillion or a 7.1-percent higher than the realization last year.
For the record, in the period of January until September 2015, investment realization in Java reached Rp219.3 trillion and the figure rose by 13.4 percent compared that the amount in 2014. In the meantime, investment realization outside Java in 2015 reached Rp292.2 trillion or increased by 7.1 percent compared to that in the previous year.
As for the investment realization target from January until September 2015, BKPM managed to reach Rp180.7 trillion or a 20.9 percent compared to the realization in 2014.
"We have been instructed by the President to focus on several provinces in Eastern Indonesia," Franky said on Friday (8/1).
In addition, in 2016, BKPM will also provide investor relation officers (IRO) to provide assistance to investors in the regions.
