Ahok to Reshuffle Jakarta Officials

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama will reshuffle some Jakarta government officials, including head of Jakarta Law Bureau and head of Education Agency today, January 8, 2016.

Ahok said that head of the Jakarta Education Agency Arie Budiman will be replaced because he will be appointed as a Special Staff at the Education and Culture Ministry. Arie will be repalced by his deputy Sopan Adrianto.

Meanwhile, Sri Rahayu, the current head of Jakarta Law Bureau, will be replaced because according to Ahok, Sri has entered retirement since 2013. "Legally, she has retired, but Pak Jokowi at that time extended her office term by two years," Ahok said.

Ahok however, refused to provide detailed information on the exact number of officials that will be reshuffled.
