TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) said that an L-382G Hercules water bombing airplane from Australia will be joining with its Indonesian counterpart to help put out forest fire in Sumatera.
"Aerial operation will be enforced with one Hercules L382G plane from Australia, which is capable of carrying up to 15,000 liters of water," BNPB Public Relation Officer Sutopo Nugroho said on Tuesday October 13, 2015. "The additional airplane from Australia is expected to be able to assist fire extinguishing effort."
Sutopo added that the plane will be operating on October 13 to October 20, 2015, in South Sumatra.
Moreover, joint operation to extinguish the forest fire in South Sumatera continue to be carried out by Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.
