TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bollywood actress and model Gauhar Khan was slapped by a member of the audience during the shooting of a reality show.
The perpetrator, Akil Malik, said that he was feeling disturbed by her wardrobe during the shooting of the 'India's Raw Star' show in Goregaon, Mumbai.
Malik rose from his seat and attacked the woman as the show was broadcasted live. He was finally arrested by the authorities on charges of assault. To the police, he explained why he done what he done. "Being a Muslim woman, she should not have worn such a short dress," said Malik.
It is still unclear as how Malik managed to sneak up on Khan in the presence of 2,500 audience and 250 security guards, who Malik managed to sneak past.
Khan was apparently still shocked by the incident. But she managed to resume the show one hour later. The case is currently being trialed in Boriwali.
