TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Secret tools from Doraemon’s—a Japanese popular cat robot character—magic pocket will be displayed in Indonesia at “Doraemon 100 Secret Gadget Expo”, which is slated to be held for 100 days beginning November 28, 2014 - March 8, 2015 at Ancol Beach City Mall, North Jakarta.
The exhibition, which is organized by Animation International Ltd., a Hong Kong based company that holds the Doraemon license, will display an array of Doraemon’s signature gadgets, including its bamboo propeller and the Dokodemo door—the door that can take Doraemon to wherever it wishes.
“This expo will give a new experience for Doraemon fans in Indonesia,” Animation International country manager Lynard Longcop said in a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.
“We expect fans of this expo to feel what they can only see on television,” he added.
Animation International Indonesia marketing and license manager Helena Irma said the organizer also planned on bringing 100 Doraemon statues from Japan for to the Road to Asia’s series of events, which began in 2012.
Tickets are available at Alfamart, Alfamidi, Lawson and ticket outlets at Ancol Beach City Mall, and online at www.ticketindonesia.com or www.doreamonexpo.com.
Tickets are priced at Rp90,000 for visitors older than 13-year-old and Rp55,000 for children aged 4-12-year-old. The organizer gives a 20 percent early birds discount from November 4-30, 2014.
Children under four with heights below 90 centimeters and people older than sixty are allowed access for free.
