TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - While filming a music video in Nashville, Tennessee, Jon Bon Jovi came to the aid of a woman who was perched on the brink of a pedestrian bridge, according to USA Today.

A woman wearing blue clothing is seen on the ledge of the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville on Tuesday, with her arms encircling the railing. Bon Jovi and a member of his team approach her as they stroll along the bridge. This is captured on camera during the incident and was shared by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

The woman escorting Bon Jovi sometimes stroked the other woman's back as the two drew closer and began conversing with her. A little while later, Bon Jovi and a member of his crew assist the woman in getting back over the guardrails and onto the bridge. The Grammy Award-winning singer speaks with the woman for a while longer before giving her a strong hug and what seemed to be assurances.

Mr. Bon Jovi then hugs the woman and the three walk together along the bridge, attended by law enforcement officials. The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation, as cited by The New York Times.

Jon Bon Jovi is thanked by Nashville police

Although the video was taken down from YouTube due to it breaking community guidelines, the Nashville police department re-posted it on Facebook and included a shout-out to the iconic rock star.

The police department captioned the photo, saying, "Another shoutout to Jon Bon Jovi and his #Nashville act of kindness since #Youtube removed the video." "ICYMI: He and his team helped persuade a woman her to come off the ledge of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, over the Cumberland River, to safety."

John Drake, the chief of police in Nashville, stated on social media that "it takes all of us to help keep each other safe."

The famous Tennessean editor John Seigenthaler, who stopped a man from jumping off the bridge in the 1950s while he was a reporter, is honored with the name of the bridge. The USA TODAY NETWORK includes The Tennessean.

Nashville will host a video shoot for "The People's House" by Bon Jovi.

The event happened as Bon Jovi was filming a music video for his song "The People's House" on the bridge, which was still accessible to the public.

In order to show respect for the private individual who went through a difficult time and needed assistance, the rock singer chose not to comment on the situation.
