TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Atletico Madrid assistant coach German Burgos was seen wearing the innovative Google Glass when winning the match against Getafe on Sunday night. Google glass technology allows coaches to receive live statistics from the match, in order to keep up with 'general statistics', 'game building', 'defense' and 'shots'.
"The product allows the analysis of games in real time and the extraction of data from each game," Spanish Football Federation (LFP) wrote in a statement, as cited by Daily Mail. "Clubs will have all the information about their own game, and of the sides they will face throughout the season."
In Bundes Liga Germany, Google Glass could also soon be used by match officials, enabling them to watch action replays as if they were watching the game on the television. As for Burgos, the assistant coach is yet to provide any information regarding the Google glass usage. However, he walked home feeling content as Atletico Madrid defeated Getafe with 2-0, cementing their footings on top of La Liga.
