TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Practicability and high in performance becomes a particular magnet for mirrorless camera as its popularity keeps increasing in Indonesian market. Panasonic is one of the numerous vendors that offer latest features and technology on their Lumix DMC-GM1 and DMC-GX7.
The Lumix DMC-GM1 is the smallest mirrorless camera that now exists. Due to its small body, the camera often looks like a compact point-and-shoot camera. Both Lumix DMC-GM1 and Lumix DMC-GX7 are aimed for youngsters and photographers who like to explore the digital single lens mirrorless (DSLM) for the practicability and high quality.
"We had launched it last month and become the number one in Japan. We want this achievement to also happen in Indonesia," said Hiroyoshi during the launch in Jakarta on Thursday.
The Panasonic newly-launched cameras have similar specification that brings out a practicable design yet premium looks due to its magnesium alloy frame. Both have Standard Live MOS Micro Four Thirds sensor with up to 16-megapixel resolution and ISO range of 125 to 25,600. The cameras are also provided with 3-inch touch screen LCD display and Wi-Fi to enable easy photo sharing.
However, each camera carries its own attractive feature. DMC-GX7 has been equipped with Near Field Communication Technology (NFC), Eye Sensor for clearer images, and Tiltable Live View Finder.
Meanwhile, the DMC-GM1, in addition to its small body, carries the function of Instant Transfer and provided with built-in flash (GN5.6 ISO200M). DMC-GM1 is also available in more colors than DMC-GMC-GX7.
Lumix DMC-GX7 is available in Indonesia for Rp13 million per unit in two color options: black and silver, while Lumix DMC-GM1 will hit Indonesian market this month and is tagged Rp9 million per unit.
