Non Saputri, entrepreneur and third wife of Director General for Horticulture at the Agriculture Ministry Hasanuddin Ibrahim, is suspected to be the real identity of 'Bunda Putri' --a person involved in a conversation with beef graft defendants Luthfi Hasan and Ridwan Hakim. Istimewa

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Busyro Muqoddas had confirmed that the agency will expose the role of Non Saputri a.k.a. Bunda Putri in the beef import graft case. So far, said Busyro, KPK investigators are still gathering information from witnesses in the trial regarding Bunda Putri's role. "We are still discussing her," stated Busyro yesterday.

If KPK has found a lead on Bunda Putri's role, explained Busyro, then there is no reason to not investigate her. However, he continued, KPK do not want to be caught in a snare just because her name is always being mentioned by the beef import graft suspects, Ahmad Fathanah and Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq, in their trial. "We have to treat Bunda Putri proportionally, we don't want to ignore the real case and deflect public opinion," said Busyro.

Not just clarifying Bunda Putri's role, KPK is hoping that the beef import graft trial will also expose a number of parties that were also involved in the case.
