TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Beef import graft convict Ahmad Fathanah, was charged with 17.5 years of imprisonment. His wife Sefti Sanustika said to be surprised by the decision. "I was surprised knowing that the charge was severe. He (Fathanah) was not a state official or administrator," said Sefti.
Sefti's fate was also on the verge of criminal charges as legal expert on money laundering act, Yenti Garnasih, previously stated that Fathanah's ladies, suspected of accepting the cashflow from Fathanah, could face penal charges.
In response to the discourse, Sefti mentioned that she is Fathanah's wife, therefore accepting any form of cashflow is a part of her matrimony right. "I hope it is not more than a discourse," she said, neglecting the fact that she might be next to face trial.
