TEMPO.CO, Vatican - Vatican decided to dismiss its ambassadors for the Dominican Republic Archbishop Josef Wesolowski last Wednesday, after reports of the Archbishop committing child adultery popped up in the media. Vatican Spokesperson Federico Lombardi assured that investigation will be done to seek justice.
The Archbishop has recently hits the news headlines when he was suspected to be involved in child torture and adultery. Two local television stations in Dominica broadcasted news stating that the 65 years old man often made a visit to Saint Domingo Historical Site for liquors and made sexual encounters with children. There were at least 14 children suspected to be the victims of the Polish-born Archbishop.
Church Official for the Dominican Republic Agripino Nunez Collado, mentioned that Vatican decided to act quickly after Pope Francis heard about the information. Pope Francis himself has ensured that there will be no tolerance for sexual crime in the Catholic Church.
