TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Deputy Chief Bambang Widjojanto said that in order to resume the filing process of the Hambalang Stadium graft case, KPK must wait for the audit result from the Central Audit Agency (BPK) to obtain information about state losses.
BPK’s calculation is required to fulfill one of the criminal elements of the case, that is evident of state losses. "The criminal element is not completed yet so, please be patient," said Bambang in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 29.
Bambang added that the article applied in the investigation warrant was Article 2 and 3 of Law No. 31/1999 on Corruption Eradication which stipulated that one of the criminal elements to be fulfilled is the evidence of state losses. Problems may arise if KPK proceeds with the case without being able to prove state losses.'That’s why we need to wait for the audit result," said Bambang.
