TEMPO.CO, Boston – Two Indonesian citizens managed to survive the Boston bombing incident that occured Monday . Based on VOA reports, the two Indonesians participating in the race were Wati Hlusak from Minnesota and the Director of National Pension Saving Bank (Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional), Jerry Ng.
Jerry stated that he was approximately one kilometer away from the finish line when the officials stopped the race. "They said that an incident occurred in the finish line, therefore all the runners had to stop," he explained.
Jerry admitted that he does not hear the explosions and added that his wife and relatives who were located near the finish are not injured.
In response to the incident, Jerry encouraged the society to remain strong and it is important for them to not be clouded with fear.
