TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - This year’s biggest night in fashion became a buzzworthy moment for BLINKs as they witnessed BLACKPINK reunite and make a statement at the 2026 Met Gala. Despite arriving on the red carpet individually, the presence of all four members—Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé—in the same year marked an iconic pop culture moment, each bringing a distinct flair to the dress code, “Fashion Is Art.”
Having long been associated with Dior, Jisoo unsurprisingly nailed her Met Gala debut in a custom Dior design by Jonathan Anderson. The 31-year-old singer and actress wore a strapless gown adorned with sequins and delicate floral details that extended even into her hairstyle.
When interviewed by Vogue red carpet co-hosts Ashley Graham and Cara Delevingne, Jisoo shared her excitement about attending for the first time, saying, “It’s my first Met Gala. I’m so excited and a little nervous too.”
She also revealed that preparing her look took four to five hours, an effort that Graham and Delevingne believed ultimately paid off.
Meanwhile, Rosé marked her third Met Gala appearance in a black Yves Saint Laurent gown, elevated by a striking avian-inspired piece. To align with the theme, she revealed that she and her stylist explored the brand’s archives, noting that birds once served as a key inspiration for YSL.
The accessory also drew inspiration from Georges Braque’s artwork The Birds, featured on the ceiling of the Louvre, according to Billboard.
Lisa arrived with a bold statement of her own. Wearing a sculptural look by Robert Wun, the Thai star incorporated 3D-printed replicas of her own hands winding around her sheer, veiled gown, adding a literal twist to the idea of “extra.”
While turning heads with her look, Lisa also shared her excitement for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, saying, “It’s sold out! I can’t wait to show my fans what I prepared.”
The final member to arrive was Jennie, who delivered yet another standout moment. Marking her fourth Met Gala appearance, she wore a shimmering blue-silver Chanel gown crafted from 15,000 metallic sequin leaves by Matthieu Blazy, giving her an almost mermaid-like glow. Speaking to Vogue, she described the look as “a mosaic artwork come alive.”
The 2026 Met Gala ultimately served as a reunion moment for BLACKPINK. The group released their third mini album DEADLINE in February.
