TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Jakarta Old Town Area Management Unit, Denny Aputra, has confirmed that the public can still visit the Jakarta History Museum, also known as the Fatahillah Museum, despite ongoing filming starring Lisa Blackpink.
Denny explained that the Old Town Area is divided into two distinct zones: a core zone where the museum is situated and a supporting zone located outside the museum grounds. The film production will exclusively utilize the supporting zone of the Old Town.
"[For the purposes of the film shoot] only Jalan Teh and Jalan Cengkeh will be closed," Denny told Tempo on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Denny emphasized that all museums within the Old Town area will continue to operate normally and remain accessible to visitors throughout the filming period.
Traffic police have redirected vehicles around the Old Town as it serves as a primary location for the movie featuring the Blackpink star. "Indeed, on January 28, 2026, there was filming activity from Korea, specifically at the Jasindo Building in the Old Town area next to Cafe Batavia; this necessitated a traffic diversion on Kunir Street," said Police Commissioner Teguh, Head of the Tamansari Police Traffic Unit, as quoted by Antara on Friday, January 29, 2026.
Traffic diversions will be implemented again from February 1 to 7, 2026, on Jalan Cengkeh, spanning from the Kunir Street intersection to the East Nelayan Street intersection. The road will remain closed daily from 05:00 to 19:00 Jakarta time. "As planned, from February 1 to 7, 2026, there will be a traffic diversion on Jalan Cengkeh in the West Jakarta area," he noted.
A traffic engineering announcement banner is currently displayed at the end of Kunir Street, which served as an earlier filming site. The banner, featuring the logos of the Jakarta Provincial Government and the Jakarta Experience Board, offers an apology to road users for the diversion of access to Kunir Street on January 28 and 29, 2026.
