TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Earlier this year, the world was charmed by 11-year-old Indonesian boy Rayyan Arkan Dikha, famously known as "Dhika Aura Farming." His rise to fame was marked by the viral 20-second clip of him dancing nonchalantly during Indonesia’s annual Pacu Jalur boat race. Now, he's making an even bigger mark by collaborating with Bollywood singer Zahrah S. Khan.
Through Khan’s Instagram posts, Dhika Aura Farming appears in at least one photo and six videos, offering glimpses of the singer’s newly released music video titled "Aura Farming."
Receiving massive support from both Indonesian and international audiences, the project is likely aimed at capturing the essence of “aura farming” as people have come to know it, by featuring the icon himself, Dhika.
In one clip where Khan and Dhika dance together, Khan captions it, “With the OG #aurafarming cutie dancing to our desi version of Aura Farming! What are u guys waiting for go make ur reels now!!!”
The "Aura Farming" music video was officially released on October 17 and had already garnered nearly 5 million views by the time this article was written.
In the music video, Dhika dons a Riau-inspired traditional attire, similar to what he wore during the Pacu Jalur festival. Though the fabric appears to be inspired by Indian clothing style, with its shiny, vibrant yellow material that adds a Bollywood flair to his overall look.
Dhika Aura Farming was previously appointed as Riau Tourism Ambassador by the regional governor, in recognition of his role in promoting the province’s culture and heritage. He was also awarded a scholarship worth Rp20 million by the Indonesian Ministry of Culture, Fadli Zon.
