The Swedish Attorney Generals Office (AGO), according to Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nur Hassan Wirajuda, is to summon Free Aceh Movement (GAM) leader Hasan Tiro and other GAM figures residing in Sweden.
The small amount of proof that we have presented will still be able to be used as preliminary evidence as regards the GAM figures, Wirajuda said after attending the inauguration of Indonesian ambassadors at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon (12/6).
However, its still not yet clear as to when the Swedish AGO will summon GAM figures such as Hasan Tiro.
According Wirajuda, the process could take several days.
As to whether or not the government is satisfied with the handling of this case, Wirajuda said that Swedish government appeared to have good intentions.
However, the government will continue its evaluation on the response given by the Swedish government.
We will decide what measures are to be taken during a cabinet meeting, he said.
While awaiting for the process on the GAM figures, the Indonesian government will continue its efforts to seek international support, particularly from European Union countries.
This will hopefully limit the activities of GAM figures abroad.
