17,518 Tourists Enjoy New Year's Eve 2025 in Mandalika

TEMPO.CO, Mataram - New Year's Eve in Mandalika became an unforgettable moment with the excitement of the Mandiri Festival Mandalika Seru 2024. The event held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Kuta Beach Park (KBP), Mandalika, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) was attended by 17,518 tourists from various regions and countries.
With the theme "New Year Starts With You", the event featured Dangdut singer Wika Salim, who successfully enlivened the stage atmosphere with warm interactions with the audience. The countdown to the New Year was enlivened by a spectacular fireworks display of 2,500 shots that lit up the KBP sky for 30 minutes.
ITDC Commercial Director Troy Warokka said this was one of the best New Year's celebrations ever held at The Mandalika. "The level of excitement from the crowd was truly extraordinary, with visitors flooding the venue from the afternoon onwards and increasing until the end of the event. We are proud to have provided excitement for all who attended," said Troy.
Activities Start in the Afternoon
The series of Mandiri Festival Mandalika Seru 2024 began in the afternoon with various interesting activities, including Journey to Green Tourism Mandalika: Road to 10,000 Trees with talents, traditional music performances by Cilokak Aksilirasi, Mandalika Insan Kreatif dance, and performances by local bands such as Flow Band and Sweet Monday. The festival closed with a stunning performance by DJ Karen, who entertained the crowd until the wee hours of the morning.
The event featured a micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) bazaar with over 33 food and local product stalls. This bazaar achieved a total turnover of nearly hundreds of millions of rupiah. Through this bazaar, visitors can enjoy delicious food and quality products and contribute to the development of the local economy.
5 Security Posts
To ensure the safety and comfort of visitors, ITDC has set up five security posts in the area, including at KBP, Bazaar Mandalika, Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Merese Hill, and Batu Kotak Beach. A total of 267 security personnel from the military or TNI, Police, Village Security Agency (BKD), and ITDC's internal security team were deployed. In addition, there are two ambulance units and a fire station to respond to emergencies.
With tight security and support from various stakeholders, the 2024 Mandiri Festival Mandalika Seru has successfully become a symbol of the beginning of the year full of optimism and togetherness.
Environmental Responsibility
As a form of commitment to sustainable tourism, the 2024 Mandiri Festival Mandalika Seru focuses on making a positive impact on the environment. Integrated waste management is also implemented in the Journey to Green Tourism program, with 11 tons of waste successfully managed during the event.
According to Troy, this initiative is ITDC's commitment to building a tourism ecosystem that is not only attractive but also responsible to the environment and the local community.
