6 Visa-Free European Countries for Indonesian Passport Holders

19 August 2024 13:18 WIB

TEMPO.CO, JakartaFor Indonesian citizens, having a passport with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to various countries offers significant advantages, particularly European countries, which have always been popular destinations for their rich history, culture, and stunning landscapes.

Several European countries extend convenient visa policies for Indonesian passport holders. The list is as follows:

1. Armenia

As reported by the Henley Passport Index, Armenia is among the European countries that offer visa-on-arrival facilities for Indonesian citizens. This allows for convenient visa acquisition upon arrival at Armenian airports or border crossings, making it easier to explore the country's rich history and culture.

2. Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, renowned for its capital city, Baku, and its unique blend of natural beauty and modern architecture, also provides visa-on-arrival facilities for Indonesian passport holders. This allows for a seamless visa process upon arrival, enhancing travel flexibility.

3. Belarus

Belarus is one of the European countries that provide visa-free access for Indonesian passport holders. With this policy, Indonesians can stay in Belarus without a visa for up to 30 days, as long as they arrive via Minsk International Airport.

4. Kazakhstan

Although primarily considered part of Central Asia, a small part of Kazakhstan lies in Eastern Europe. Quoted from the official website of the Kazakhstan Government, Indonesian citizens traveling to this country can enjoy visa-free stays of up to 30 days. This makes it an attractive destination for exploring the natural beauty and unique culture of Central Asia, including its European border regions.

5. Serbia

Serbia is one of the Balkan countries that can be visited without a visa by Indonesian passport holders. With this policy, Indonesian tourists can stay in the country for up to 30 days.

6. Turkiye

Although predominantly Asian, Turkiye has a small European territory. It offers visa-on-arrival facilities for Indonesian citizens. Travelers can either apply for an e-visa before departure or obtain it upon arrival. Tukiye’s relatively easy visa policy makes it a popular destination for exploring its historic city of Istanbul and the natural beauty of Cappadocia.
