KAI Commuter Records 1.6 Million Passengers During Easter Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - KAI Commuter recorded a total of 1.6 million commuter line users in Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) during the long Easter weekend from March 29 to 31 at around 01:00 p.m.
KAI Commuter Corporate Secretary Anne Purba stated that people mostly commute to stations near shopping centers. Tanah Abang Station recorded the largest volume of people with 195,061 people. This figure is followed by two other stations located near shopping areas, namely Depok Baru Station and Tebet Station.
"Depok Baru Station recorded 46,821 people and Tebet Station has 42,804 people," Anne said in her written statement on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
KAI Commuter also noted that tens of thousands of people got off at stations near tourist destinations, such as Bogor Station which recorded over 82,183 users. It is followed by Jakarta Kota Station in the Kota Tua area, which saw over 29,665 people.
Meanwhile, KAI Commuter also recorded 37,781 commuter line users who transited at Manggarai Station. Meanwhile, there were over 50,512 people who transited at Tanah Abang Station.
Duri Station and Kampung Bandang Station also documented some of the biggest transit during the Easter holiday with 19,039 people and 3,399 people respectively.
