Jokowi Gathers Ministers to Evaluate The 2024 National Strategic Projects

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has convened a limited meeting on the National Strategic Project (PSN) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday, March 18, 2024, to conduct an evaluation of the ongoing projects this year.
Several ministers were seen arriving at the Presidential Palace Complex prior to the closed-door meeting that started at 13:30 local time. They include Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.
Other ministers who attended the meeting were Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang, Forestry and Environment Minister Siti Nurbaya, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani. Some of them went through doors closed to journalists.
“Let’s discuss it after the meeting,” Airlangga briefly told journalists.
During a media briefing in Jakarta on February 7, 2024, Wahyu Utomo, Deputy for Regional Development and Spatial Planning at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, revealed that the government is targeting the completion of 41 PSNs by 2024.
At least 31 of these projects are set to be completed by October 20, 2024, which marks the end of President Jokowi's term. The PSN comprises three projects in the toll road sector, three in the transportation sector, 14 projects in the dam sector, one project in the energy sector, and 11 projects in the regional sector.
The remaining 10 projects are expected to be completed by December 2024, including one project in the transportation sector and nine projects in the dam and irrigation sector. Notably, the total investment value of the 41 projects is estimated to be around Rp 500 trillion.
