TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The head of Prabowo-Gibran National Winning Team (TKN) Rosan Roeslani claimed that the quick count results of the 2024 presidential election were “above all expectations”. According to various survey agencies, the running pair number two led the race by more than 50 percent votes.
“This is the result of the team’s hard work,” Rosan said on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
When asked what factors could possibly influence the quick count results, Rosan answered that “Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran [instructed] to collaborate with the citizens, we try to win their hearts and minds.”
According to the former head of Kadin Indonesia, Prabowo-Gibran did not seek to race with other candidates, but prioritized unity and community.
This victory, Rosan said, was not only for Prabowo-Gibran but all of Indonesian communities. However, he asked the candidate’s supporters to wait for the official voting results announcement by the General Elections Commission (KPU).
“We are still awaiting the official results by KPU but based on the initial indicators such as quick count, we have obtained more than 50 percent, even close to 60 percent,” he said.
Populi Center survey agency has released its final quick count results, showing Prabowo-Gibran as the winner with 59.20 percent of votes, followed by Anies-Muhaimin with 25.16 percent and Ganjar-Mahfud with 15.64 percent.
