Ganjar Pranowo Better Mastered Final Debate Topics, Campaign Team Claims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md national campaign team’s spokesperson, Aryo Seno Bagaskoro, claimed that presidential candidate number 3 has a better understanding of the final election debate topics than his two rivals, Anies Baswedan and Prabowo Subianto. This is because of Ganjar's frequent interactions with the public, which allowed him to gain a better grasp of the issues faced by the community.

The General Election Commission (KPU) scheduled the final presidential debate for Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Seno mentioned that the debate will focus on issues related to social welfare, culture, education, information technology, health, employment, human resources, and inclusion, which are highly relevant to the programs proposed by Ganjar-Mahfud.

“We believe that Pak Ganjar has a deep understanding of the topics of the [upcoming] debate. Because his understanding comes from his experience as a member of the DPR (House of Representatives) for two terms, followed by two terms as governor of Central Java,” Seno said in a written statement on Monday, January 29.

According to him, Ganjar Pranowo has traveled extensively throughout Indonesia to listen to the needs of the people. “This whole track record gives him the expertise in designing policies after listening to everyday problems, such as education, health, and employment problems. These are all key topics to be discussed in the debate,” Seno said.
