TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State Logistics Agency (Bulog) president director Bayu Krisnamurthi admitted that there were problems with data verification in the rice food social assistance program in early 2024, which resulted in the distribution of aid being disrupted. So far, he said, only 50 percent of beneficiary family (KPM) data has been verified. As a result, some families have not received the assistance they were supposed to get.
Bayu said that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) and the regional government have not finished verifying the data on KPMs entitled to receive the rice aid.
Bayu admitted that due to current verification problems, several KPM had not received rice food assistance. "Not yet. After [the data] is verified and the regional governments agree with the figure, we will distribute it. Perum Bulog is only tasked with distributing. The ones that have the data on beneficiary families are the regional governments," he said after a press conference on the results of a 'High Level Meeting of the Team for Central Inflation Control' held in Jakarta, 29 January.
Bayu said that the verification process will be completed in the next one to two weeks, so that all verified KPM will receive rice food assistance.
"The progress is going fast. This week or next week everything will be verified. 50 percent of the data has been verified," he said.
Through rice food assistance, each beneficiary family (KPM) is entitled to 10 kg of rice every month. This program started in September 2023, and has been extended until June 2024.
