Jokowi to Inaugurate Cisadane Bridge Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi will inaugurate the Cisadane Bridge this Monday morning, Jan. 8. During the inauguration, the bridge connecting Daan Mogot Street to Merdeka Street in Tangerang City will be fully closed to the public.
"During the inauguration, the traffic from Daan Mogot will be diverted to Pasar Lama in Kisamaun Street," said the head of the Tangerang City Transportation Office Achmad Suhaely.
The Cisadane B Bridge has been closed from Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, for the tent-loading activity, while the traffic from Daan Mogot Street to Merdeka Street was diverted through the Cisadane A Bridge.
Then, on Sunday at around noon, both A and B bridges were closed, with traffic diverted through Berendeng Bridge from Daan Mogot Street to Merdeka Street.
Meanwhile, today, the traffic from Daan Mogot will be diverted to Pasar Lama since it will be a complete shutdown of the Cisadane Bridge. Officers have prepared an alternative route during the inauguration event attended by President Jokowi.
"We are urging residents to choose the alternative route to avoid Cisadane Bridge to curb traffic jams. Along with the police, our officers are on standby 24 hours at the alternative route," Suhaely concluded.
