LRT Jabodebek Adds More Trips to Welcome Holiday Season

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Light rail transit or LRT Jabodebek increased its scheduled trips to anticipate the Christmas and New Year holidays. Starting Dec. 27 to 29, LRT Jabodebek will operate 240 trips, or a 25 percent increase than normal.
Manager of LRT Jabodebek's Public Relations Mahendro Trang Bawono stated that this increase was intended to anticipate a spike in passengers during the holiday season. LRT Jabodebek will also extend its operational hours until 01:42 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesia Time) on Dec. 31 to welcome the new year.
"We have seen the enthusiasm of people who will celebrate [the New Year], so we will extend our operational hours of LRT Jabodebek," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023.
During this holiday season, LRT Jabodebek invites its customers to celebrate and explore Jakarta and its surrounding areas by boarding LRT Jabodebek which is entirely run on an elevated railway track.
For those who plan to spend their holiday by using LRT Jabodebek, Mahendro recommended they board during the off-peak hours at 05:00-05:59 a.m., 09:00 a.m.-03:59 p.m. WIB, and 07:00 p.m. WIB until end of operational hours.
"There is also promo fare of minimum Rp3,000 and maximum fare of Rp10,000," he added.
LRT Jabodebek is committed to creating a memorable trip for its passengers. Mahendro hopes that adding more trip schedules would accommodate the needs of its passengers planning to celebrate the New Year and their holiday.
