Yasonna Overseas; Jokowi Names Azwar Anas as Ad Interim Minister of Law, Human Rights

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi appointed Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas as ad interim Minister of Law and Human Rights (HAM). Azwar will temporarily replace Yasonna H. Laoly, who is on an overseas business trip for a week.
According to the official statement from the PANRB Ministry, Minister Yasonna will be overseas from December 14 to 20. The written statement did not say which country Yasonna is in.
This appointment is set forth in the letter of the Minister of State Secretary Number B-20/M/D-3/AN.00.03/12/2023 dated December 7, 2023, which was addressed to the Minister of PANRB.
The Special Staff to the President's coordinator Ari Dwipaya and the Ministry of State Secretariat's Secretary Setya Utama confirmed the appointment. Neither said which country Yasonna is visiting, and what activities she is participating in.
