TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Pro-Palestine rally are still ongoing in a number of areas in Indonesia. This morning, for example, Depok residents took to the streets to hold a rally in support of Gaza residents in Palestine.

From Tempo's observations, since 06:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), crowds began to flock Ruko Verbena and Jalan Boulevard Grand Depok City (GDC), Kartini lane, towards Jalan KSU, the location of the Pro-Palestine rally in Depok, Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Depok residents went to GDC using private vehicles, both motorbikes and public transportation, and those close to the rallying location chose to walk. Most of them are seen wearing Pro-Palestinian attributes.

At 06:30 WIB, the crowd was already waving the Palestinian flag on GDC Boulevard, the event began with the reading of verses from the Quran and continued with singing of the Indonesian national song, Indonesia Raya.

Also present at the action are the Mayor of Depok Mohammad Idris, Regional Secretary of Depok City Supian Suri, Chairman of the Depok City DPRD T.M Yusufsyah Putra, Chairman of the Depok City Ulema Council Ahmad Dimyati Badruzaman, and Chairman of the Depok City Baznas Endah Ahmad Yani.

In the rally, the MC repeatedly shouted the word "Palestine," and the crowd greeted them with "Freedom, independence".

The MC then continued to shout "Israeli are invaders" and the crowds replied "Destroy, destroy," said the crowd in unison.
