Mohamad Oemar, Indonesian Ambassador to France, Andorra, and Monaco, said in his statement in Jakarta that the Indonesian language was the 10th official language to be recognized by the UNESCO General Conference, alongside English, Arabic, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Russian, Hindi, Italian, and Portuguese languages.
3. Govt Denies Claim of Tesla Investment Withdrawal in Indonesia
The Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs denied claims that Tesla withdrew its investment plan in Indonesia. According to the ministry's Deputy of Investment and Mining Coordination Septian Hari Seto, Tesla's investment was only being postponed.
"[The investment plan] is on-going. But with the current global economic conditions, I believe [Elon Musk] is putting investment on hold," he said when met in between Tempo Electric Vehicle (EV) and Battery Conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023.
