TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned oil and gas giant Pertamina decided to lower the prices of non-subsidized fuel effective starting today, Nov. 1. The fuel brands include Pertamax, Pertamax Green 95, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex.
The price of Pertamax in Jakarta dropped to Rp13,400 per liter from previously Rp14,000 per liter. The price of Pertamax Green 95 fell by Rp1,000 to Rp15,000 per liter.
Pertamax Turbo and Pertamax Dex are now priced at Rp15,500 and Rp17,750 per liter respectively, while the price of Dexlite is Rp16,950 per liter from previously Rp17,200 per liter.
The price of subsidized fuel, such as Pertalite, would remain at Rp10,000 per liter.
Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Pertamina's vice president for corporate communications, said the price adjustment of non-subsidized fuel was in line with market prices.
“We can say that Pertamina's fuel prices are the most competitive to maintain people's purchasing power,” Fadjar said in a press statement today.
He explained that the price adjustment complied with the Energy Ministerial Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 as an amendment to the Ministerial Decree No. 62 K/12/MEM/2020 concerning the calculation of fuel prices.
“Referring to these regulations, fuel prices will be adjusted monthly according to market prices,” the Pertamina VP concluded.
