These regions include Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Bengkulu, Jambi, Riau, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Banten, East Java, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Papua, and West Papua.
According to BMKG, the cyclonic circulation in the Indian Ocean west of Aceh, north of West Kalimantan, and Pacific Ocean north of Papua, forming an elongated convergence/confluence in the waters and the Indian Ocean west of Aceh, Malaka Strait, Andaman Sea, Thailand Bay, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan through Sabah until South China Sea north of Brunei, and Sulu Sea.
The other convergence zone was observed at Bengkulu's coastline to West Sumatra, north of Philippines waters, West Papua, until North Maluku, and central of Papua.
The condition increases the chance of cloud formations, causing rain to drench these regions.
