1. French Open 2023: Indonesia Secures Win with Jonatan Christie

Indonesia secured a title at the 2023 French Open in Rennes this Sunday after Jonatan Christie beat Chinese athlete Li Shi Feng in men's single.

The Indonesian athlete came through after losing his first game 16-21 in China's favor, raising his game in the second and third games resulting in 21-15 and 21-14 victories over the Chinese player.

2. IKN, Jokowi's Most Problematic Inheritance, Expert Says

Yusuf Wibisono, an economist and director of the Institute for Demographic and Poverty Studies (IDEAS) claimed that the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) is President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's most problematic inheritance. This notion started way before the development of this giant project began.

"This will heavily burden whoever is elected as the next president," Yusuf said when called on Monday, October 30, 2023. Currently, three registered candidates are running for presidency in the upcoming general elections; Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

3. BMKG Forecasts Heavy Rain to Drench Parts of West Java This Week

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasted that light to heavy rain will potentially pour over parts of West Java in an uneven pattern this week, from October 30 to November 5, 2023. 

On October 30, these areas included Bogor, Sukabumi, and Cianjur. The rain will potentially spread from these areas to  Depok, Bekasi, Karawang, Subang, Purwakarta, Bandung City and Regency, Cimahi, West Bandung Regency, Sumedang, Majalengka, Kuningan, and Tasikmalaya.
