BMKG Forecasts Rain in Bogor, Partly Cloudy in Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The weather forecast by the BMKG today on Thursday, October 19, 2023, stated that it will see all of Jakarta in a partly cloudy morning. The same prediction will be carried out through the afternoon for Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Island.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasted West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta to be cloudy in the afternoon, while in the evening, all of Jakarta will once again be greeted by partly cloudy skies.

The highest temperature today is recorded at South Jakarta and East Jakarta at 36 degrees Celsius and an air humidity level of 80 percent.

Around Jakarta, partly cloudy weather will also dominate all day in Bekasi, with the same highest temperature of 36 degrees Celsius but a higher air humidity level at 90 percent.

According to the BMKG, Serpong (South Tangerang) and Tangerang City will also record a temperature of 36 degrees Celsius today, starting the morning with a sunny sky that gradually forms clouds in the afternoon and evening.

The BMKG warns about potential light rain in Cibinong (Bogor Regency), Depok, and Bogor City this afternoon in between partly cloudy skies that is set to hang over the regions all day today. 

"Beware of the rain potential accompanied with strong winds in brief and local scale between the afternoon and the evening at parts of Bogor Regency and City," warned the BMKG.

Despite the rain potential, the temperature in the region is forecasted highest at 35 degrees Celsius, even in Bogor City.
