Jokowi Inspects Hub Space Exhibition in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo inspected the Hub Space exhibition with the theme of "Journey to Connect Indonesia" at Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center on Friday, September 29, 2023. The exhibition showcases the achievements of the Indonesian transportation sector for the past 10 years.

According to a press release received in Jakarta today, Jokowi inspected several stands, including Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Train, Gojek, Prestige Image Motocars, MRT Jakarta, Pertamina, and BookCabin.

Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi mentioned that the exhibition is the dream realization of the Indonesian government in terms of transportation. He explained that this exhibition is held to educate the public on the development of transportation in the country.

Budi Karya hoped the Hub Space exhibition would boost the interest and spirits of the youth to contribute to the development of Indonesian mass transportation.

"The president was surprised to witness the showcase. This [exhibition] is a good way to educate the youth and strengthen their will to do the best with confidence," he said.

According to the minister, President Jokowi bestowed the ministry the duty to develop nationwide mass transportation. "So much homework, challenging yet exhilarating," he remarked.

The minister then invited a number of stakeholders to fulfill the duty, from the ministries, regional government, academicians, to the media.
