BMKG Forecasts Sunny Weather for Most Regions, Rain for Bandung

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted sunny weather for most cities of Indonesia today, September 26, 2023. There is also a chance of smoke covering Jambi, Palembang, Palangka Raya, and Banjarmasin.
The agency in its weather forecast reported that Sumatra will have partly sunny to cloudy skies. However, light rain is expected in Banda Aceh and thunderstorms may hit Medan City. Smoke is also possible in Jambi and Palembang.
In Java, the weather will be sunny to cloudy in most major cities. Rainfall is forecast only for Bandung. Denpasar and Kupang will have partly cloudy skies, while Mataram will be cloudy.
In Kalimantan, Pontianak and Samarinda will have clear skies with few clouds, but there is a possibility of smoke in Palangka Raya and Banjarmasin. The agency also issued an early warning of moderate-intensity rain for Tanjung Selor City. Sulawesi will also see partly sunny to cloudy weather.
In eastern Indonesia, cloudy weather is forecast for Ternate and Ambon. Manokwari and Jayapura will be wet with light rain.
The BMKG also reported that the air temperature in Indonesia's major cities will be between 20 and 36 degrees Celsius with the humidity level around 40 to 100 percent.
