TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister for Cooperatives and Micro-Small-Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Teten Masduki said that digitalization for business owners in Indonesia is one of the government's priorities.
Currently, around 22 million MSMEs have been digitalized and the number will continue to rise, in line with the target of registering 30 million MSMEs in Indonesia's digital ecosystem.
"I also hope that through the digitalization of MSMEs, local entrepreneurs could develop their market and reach a wider customer pool, and could level up," said Teten during a live shopping event with the theme of #FlexingLokal at Pura Mangkunegaran in Solo on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
Teten also encourages the public to support domestic products by buying and consuming local products. "Let's love, buy, and consume local products," he said.
Meanwhile, the live shopping event is part of the events held by GoTo Group to celebrate National MSMEs Day 2023. The #FlexingLokal event was organized by MSMEs Minister, President of E-Commerce GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Melissa Siska Juminto, and Onde-Onde Njonja Moeda owner, Debby Natalia.
Debby Natalia said that one of the keys to being a successful online seller in Tokopedia is to innovate constantly and utilize the various features provided in the platform. "Through the live streaming platform in Tokopedia PLAY, online sellers across Indonesia could have equal opportunity to market their products more interactively," she said.
