TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said Jakarta will see cloudy and partly cloudy skies this morning, July 24, 2023. The weather will continue until the afternoon for most of Jakarta except South Jakarta, which will potentially see some light rain. All of Jakarta will be met with a cloudy night.
The temperature in Jakarta today will range from 25 to 33 degrees Celsius. The air humidity ranges between 60 and 90 percent.
For the surrounding areas, BMKG predicted Bekasi, Cibinong (Bogor Regency), Depok, and Bogor City to be partly cloudy in the morning and afternoon. The weather will shift to cloudy at night with no potential for rain, even in Bogor City.
Partly cloudy is also forecasted for Serpong area (South Tangerang) and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency) all day. For Tangerang City, morning and night will bring partly cloudy skies, interspersed with a sunny afternoon.
Several researchers at the Climate and Atmosphere Research Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency reported that the rain potential declines following the dry season aggravated by the Doksuri Cyclone. The cyclone formed in the east of the Philippines pulls part of Indonesia's clouds far north.
