TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office or AGO questioned Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo at noon today, July 3. Kuntadi, the AGO's director of investigations, Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, said that the AGO asked 24 questions.
"We interviewed [Dito Ariotedjo] from 13:00 to 15:00, 24 questions. All questions were answered properly and transparently," Kuntadi told reporters on Monday.
Kuntadi did not provide details about what was asked to Dito, including whether or not he received Rp27 billion. However, he stated that Dito's investigation today was not related to the BTS 4G corruption case implicating the Communications and Informatics Ministry's Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI).
"One thing for sure, if the incident is true, it is outside the tempus delicti (time frame) of the BTS case. So, please differentiate," Kuntadi said.
Kuntadi said he wanted to clarify the circulating narrative that, according to Irwan Hermawan, Dito is one of the people seeking to have the BTS 4G BAKTI investigation stopped.
Minister Dito Ariotedjo allegedly received Rp27 billion from the BTS 4G BAKTI corruption. This was revealed by one of the suspects, Irwan Hermawan, the commissioner of PT Solitech Media Sinergy.
Irwan claimed that he collected money from the consortium and subcontractors of the BTS 4G Bakti project, totaling at Rp243 billion, to stop the AGO from investigating the case.
More than 10 people who are suspected of receiving the flow of funds with a nominal value ranging between Rp1.7 billion and Rp75 billion.
Allegedly, Irwan gave Dito Ariotedjo Rp27 billion in US dollar bills between November and December last year when he was still a special staff at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy. The money was given to him twice in his home in South Jakarta.
