Pertamina Hulu Energi IPO still Under Assessment, OJK Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Executive Head of Stock Market Observer of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Inarno Djajadi, said that the initial public offering process of Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), is still under assessment. Consequently, the OJK is currently unable to provide detailed explanation.
"For the amount, we cannot determine. Even the book building has not been done," Inarno said in a virtual press conference on Friday, May 5, 2023.
Inarno asserted that even if the book building has been completed, changes are still possible before an effective statement is made.
"There are still many factors that can change in terms of amount or value of the IPO," Inarno added.
Talks about PHE's IPO was initiated by Pertamina Executive Director Nicke Widyawati on last February 2023. Back then, Nicke said that the IPO will be carried out according to the initial target of the first semester of 2023.
Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Pahala Mansury had also mentioned about the actualization of the IPO fund during a hearing at the House of Representatives. Pahala said that the realization of IPO funds is needed to strengthen upstream oil and gas sector.
