TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) chairman Sugeng Teguh Santoso will be questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, March 20, for his report regarding the alleged gratification of Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej.
“It is true that I am being examined today for the report I submitted to the KPK,” said Sugeng via text message, Monday.
Sugeng submitted a report of an alleged cash flow of Rp7 billion received by Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej through his personal assistant.
“So this is related to the flow of funds of around Rp7 billion received [by the deputy minister] via two people who are confirmed by EOSH (Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej) to be his personal assistants, received through his aide,” he said on Tuesday, March 14.
Personal Assistant to the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yogi Arie Rukmana, stated that he would be cooperative if the KPK made a summons regarding the gratuity report.
“We have to be [cooperative]. As a good citizen, I am cooperative when there is a summons. [If] the KPK calls me, I will come,” Yogi said to reporters at National Police HQ, early Wednesday, March 15.
