TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The upcoming match between Jakarta football club Persija and Bandung football club Persib scheduled at Gelora Bung Karno or GBK Stadium on Saturday, March 4, was postponed. Head of Public Relations of Jakarta Metro Police, Sr. Comr. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said the stadium had already been booked for the concert of the South Korean girl group Blackpink.
“The organizing committee for the Korean music show Blackpink has booked [the venue] and has started building the stage,” said Trunoyudo in a statement, Wednesday, March 1.
The football match was planned to be held next Saturday at 15:00 Jakarta time. He added that the police are still waiting for the official letter regarding the match postponement from the soccer league operator, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB).
The most-awaited music concert themed 'Born Pink: World Tour Jakarta' was slated to be held on March 11-12. The ticket sales have been open since last year.
Quoted from the promoter IME Indonesia's Instagram account @ime_indonesia, the tickets are divided into six categories priced starting from Rp1,350,000 to Rp3,800,000.
Persija Jakarta's official website has confirmed that the match will be postponed based on PT LIB’s letter dated March 1, 2023. The new match schedule will be announced later.
“PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) announces the match status of the BRI League 1-2022/2023 NP. 249 between Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung which was supposed to be held on March 4, 2023, at 15:00 WIB, is postponed and will be rescheduled,” LIB’s Director of Operations Sudjarno wrote today.
