TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency head Syafrin Liputo changed his statement regarding plans to withdraw the draft of the regional regulation (Raperda) on Electronic Traffic Control (PL2SE) from the Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD). One of these rules regulates electronic road pricing (ERP).
"So, [I say this] once again that it is not withdrawn. We will communicate it with the council (DPRD), because it is still under discussion at the council," said Syafrin when met at the Jakarta City Hall on Monday, February 13, 2023.
On Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Syafrin said before online ojek drivers who were staging a protest at the City Hall that the city administration would cancel the draft policy for further review.
Today, he changed the statement that the bill would be communicated and studied more deeply.
“It’ll be reviewed more comprehensively by re-involving all stakeholders,” said Syafrin.
However, he refused to explain what material in the draft of the electronic road pricing would be reviewed but claimed that input from various parties that were deemed urgent would be studied. “We will review it in more detail after we discuss the draft regulation again.”
