1,137 Racers Registered for Kemayoran Street Race

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Kemayoran Street Race will be held on Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on January 27 to 29, 2023.
Until now, about 1,137 racers have registered for the 5th series of street races or 63.16 percent of the quota of 1,800 participants.
"Registrants are from nine provinces in Indonesia," said Metro Jaya police traffic director, chief commissioner Latif Usman on Monday, January 23, 2023.
He explained that of the 1,137 racers who had registered for the Kemayoran Street Race, there were 57 participants from Banten, 817 from Jakarta, 16 from Central Java, 221 from West Java, 7 from East Java, 4 from South and 3 from West Sumatra, 3 from NTT, and 9 from West Kalimantan.
According to Latif, Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, is considered a suitable location for street racing due to the road construction being appropriate with sufficient width to accommodate racers and spectators.
The Kemayoran Street Race will also be enlivened with Motorcycle Modification Contest, a Music Festival, Betawi Cultural Arts Performances, and Fun Boxing.
Previously, the Metro Jaya Police have held street race four times, namely in the areas of Ancol, BSD, Meikarta and Cikarang.
