TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A boat carrying seven people on board reportedly sank in the waters of the Thousand Islands, Jakarta, on Friday morning, December 23, 2022, around 10:00 AM. The boat is said to be cruising toward Kelapa Island
The fast-response team from the Civil Service Police Unit (public order officers) or the Satpol PP of the Thousand Islands has traced the location of the sinking with joint Search and Rescue team personnel.
"According to the latest report, our team is now heading towards the location," Seribu Islands Satpol PP Chief Atok Baroni told reporters in North Jakarta, Friday, December 23, 2022.
Atok confirmed that they received reports about a boat that sank in the waters of the Thousand Islands.
According to media reports, the boat KM Nurul Hidayat sank south of Tidung Island or near Payung Island. The boat was from Kronjo, Tangerang Regency.
KM Nurul Hidayat was on its way to Kelapa Island. There were seven people on board, including four crew members.
