Elon Musk, Anindya Bakrie Present at B20 Summit as Speakers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tesla CEO Elon Musk will appear as a speaker at the B20 Summit in Bali slated for November 13-14. He will share the session with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) supervisory board chairman Anindya Bakrie.
The event’s official Instagram account, @theb20summit, in a post on Tuesday wrote: “The business community, government leaders, and policy-makers will attend this much anticipated international business forum to discuss B20 Indonesia 2022 policy recommendations.”
The session touted “Navigating Future Disruption of Global Technological Innovation” will also discuss legacy programs that will create impactful changes to the global business environment.
Other notable figures already announcing their attendance apart from Elon and Bakrie are the Founder and Chief Executive of the Institute for Global Change, Tony Blair, Unilever CEO, Alan Jope, and Managing Director of Development and Partnership Policy, World Bank, Mari Elka Pangestu.
The Global Managing Director, McKinsey & Company Bob Sternfels, Manulife CEO Roy Gori, and Freeport-McMoRan President, Kathleen L. Quirk, will also attend the event. The six speakers will hold a discussion in a session entitled Navigating Future Disruption of Global Technological Innovation.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, previously confirmed that further talks were going on about the investment plan of electric car manufacturer Tesla Inc. in Indonesia is going positively.
Luhut said that the government would unveil Tesla Inc's investment plan during the G20 Summit in Bali in mid-November. "If the conversation is not positive (with Tesla), why should I speak," said Luhut when met at Ciputra Arpreneur, Jakarta, Saturday, October 29.
