Jokowi Departs for NTT, Komodo National Park to Oversee Development

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday morning departed for the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) where he will monitor infrastructure development in the region, including Rinca Island’s Komodo National Park.
The President departed for the West Manggarai from East Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base aboard the Indonesia-1 Presidential Plane.
"The president will review and inaugurate the expansion of Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport, West Manggarai Regency," in a press release received by Tempo at the Presidential Palace, Thursday, July 21, 2022.
After inaugurating the airport, Jokowi and his entourage will depart for Rinca Island, West Manggarai Regency, aboard a traditional ship. Among those accompanying the President include Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno, and Head of Presidential Secretariat Office Heru Budi Hartono.
